I mean like joining in 2nd division aka Second Ship
Being strongest swordsman of the crew
Joining in 2nd divison despite being stronger than first

joining while the captain already has a crew
Are pretty identical tho.

Oden was meant to Whitebeard's special subordinate who initial had other non piracy related major position (Shogun of Wano)
Shiryu was Blackbeard's special subordinate who was Head Jailor of Impel Down..seemingly most important position navy has after Admirals.

First, it would be one vs one because oda is setting up fight like this.

Even against Ace, BB ordered the crew to back away.

Second, BB doesn't have his whole crew there.

And, he did fight fairly against Ace after he ordered his crew to back away.

And, this could mirror BB vs Ace.


But ya when it comes to teach one can never be sure about fairness lol

Idk if Oda did it on purpose but I can see where their supposed connection comes from

True, it could be possible that its a 1v1 with what you're saying but I still think some underhanded stuff is gonna happen during the fight
