Marines went through such extreme measures and somehow overlooked a sea of books? The world government becomes painfully dumb whenever convenient.
All it was seen by fodder marines who does not know value of books...neither of any important person has seen books been drowning in the river...

Also Oda's finally done it folks, the one sacred ground he would never touch, flashback deaths, are now game. The one place we thought deaths were real. Who's next? Hiluluk, Bellemere? Can't wait...
Saul was never "confirmed" dead....Hiluluk and Bellemere are confirmed dead....

What a lame excuse. Anything and everything should be reported. The WG had one job, the books are precisely what they were after and they let randoms camp out at Ohara and collect whatever they could. Extremely lousy job of erasing evidence, juvenile really.

Great way to ruin an amazing moment regardless, now his scene doesn't have half the impact it did. And there is no such thing as confirmed deaths in One Piece, see Pell who had a grave made for him. Only thing was flashback deaths were safe.

Him being alive didn't at all change the fact that she was alone throughout her childhood and as an adolescent. In fact it's better because atleast she knows that someone from her past is alive, it gives her a little closure to what is otherwise a very tragic event.
Like honestly the destruction of Ohara was nearly on the level of the Eclipse from Berserk, but Robin remained sane despite the event.
Edit: in fact there's a lot of similarities between the two events and I'll spoiler them incase there's someone in the chat who hasn't gotten to that part of Berserk yet:
Both are events where the protagonist's loved ones die horribly for a petty reason. Both have the protagonist fighting for their life and unable to help their comrades. Their life is changed completely due to this event. And in both events, they find out that they still have a few loved ones that managed to survive the event through some manner of folly.

They destroyed all the buildings and trees except the books, lmao. Its like someone wants to erase a military base from history but forgets to destroy the lethal weapons.

I don't really care about Robin's role in this, I'm saying it took away from a great moment, Saul's last moments. Oda has some fetish to ruin his own work, he did the same thing with Mr.G and Kaidou, retroactively kills great moments. Flashbacks were the one saving grace, Oda said sike.

Oh fuck off. People like you always try to find fault in things and compare them to actually bad writing just to stroke your rage boner. It doesn't take away from the moment because the whole point is that Robin was all alone, she had nobody and lost even her school, so she couldn't even find out what made the World Government so fearful of their knowledge that they destroyed her home. The saddest part of it was her not having any friends or family to comfort her, and now that she's a 30 year old woman with an abundance of loyal and loving friends, it's okay for her to regain old ones like Saul.

Are you daft? It's like talking to a wall, how much clearer you want me to be? Idgaf about Robin.

Oh please, again this nonsense...ruin this ruin that...ruined exactly what?...Robin get to live alone for 20 years....
and Saul making it alive makes Robin happy to some extent...it ruins for you if someone you "think" have dead turned out he/she was never dead.....how could it ruins for someone and loses impact when someone you thought dead turned out alive?...it is like little light in the dark past....

You quoted Bellemere and Hiluluk...they were "clearly" shown dead and Nami/Chopper lived in the same island they were dead for a long time unlike Robin....WB/Ace clearly dead.....

Don't cry when kuina and bellamere are alone then

Great Nico Robin centric chapter. 5/5 again from me.

VegaPunk's design sucks though. Almost 20 years of waiting and that's the best Oda can come up with?
I don't know, it's a parody on Einstein and Oda portraying his genius as literally big brained to the point he not only can share his brain with 6 others, but they all can act on their yet sharing an identity but as seperate entities doing tasks seperately but for their collective consciousness. Not disappointing IMO.

Unexpected and trippy as fuck but Einstein was hardly normal either.

There is something which caught my eye. Don't know if anyone else picked it but I will still highlight it

You know there are two things which oda has consistently highlighted

First is marks on left side

We have Scar on the left eye of Zoro and Luffy, Rayleigh ; Tattoo on left side of Dragon's face.

And, most importantly left eye of Jaya map was missing

But let's ignore this and move on two second thing which Oda consistently highlighted

The X mark

We have many instances of X mark repeatedly appearing in the story

A) Shs and ViVi (two lights) - look at their arms

B) Reverse mountain (X like design on top)

C) Dragon

This chapter we saw X on his pants

And, then we know he has tattoo which also resemble X

D) Laugh tale island is reached when we get 4 RPG and it forms X pattern

But what makes it more interesting is this

World Government symbol and empty throne also resemble X symbol.

And, if we connect everything then I think Marie geoise once belonged to Ancient Civilization.

We know that 20 nations formed WG after defeating Ancient Civilization and then they moved to Marie Geoise.

So, it's highly possible that MG was where Ancient Civilization resided.

Now you will say but what about laugh tale?

Imo Laugh tale is where Robin will learn to true history and Luffy will get one piece and it's not where that Kingdom existed.

We know there is a giant SH at Marie Geoise

But what we overlooked is how massive MJ is - its like it was made for some giant

Imo I think Ancient kingdom was at Marie Geoise or has some big connection with it

@Playa4321 @Sentinel @Celestial D. Dragon @Jailer
Honestly why not. They also fool with the idea that some system in their castle runs automatic when it's actually slaves from underneath that make it work, makimg the so advanced kingdom the reverse of what it was.

I am also starting to believe more it wasm't a simple Ancient Kingdom good, 20 Nations bad. Eith Vegapunk saying thay theory is a conjecture for now, and Rayleigh saying the straw hats might reach a different conclusions

- 20 nations alliance was a lie, there's a ruler over them
- Even then an advanced kingdom more than Egghead with the implications of thrm being creators of df, ancient weapons, allies like giants, wano, lunarians. D clan probably lived in ancient kingdom
- I think Teach's ancestor took over the ancient kingdom from with in, ans the world legitimately feared them for misusing power. Probably even Joyboy made the alliance and beat them, but of course there were those with ill intent like Imu, but too less info on him other than someone might have perfotmed immortailty surgery and that he may have Uranus, who may have stolen shit from the defeated ancient kingdom and striked Joyboy.
