In fact, even when Kaidou was made into a jump rope, he counterattacked and threw Luffy into his giant form with a blast of heat bigger than the island, blowing him off the island and turning him into coal.

Luffy using awakened properties like giantification. vs. in this case Luffy just using a basic punch without any enlargement. And still, awakened obviously > base, but not "vastly" as you claim it.

Oda might retcon one of Big Mom's abilities into awakening
