Luffy dunks on Lucci, DF wise G5 needs big moves to overpower some shitty zoan that Lucci found in a trashcan.

I thought Mini Luffy was already the reverse gear.

Mini Luffy was a side effect of using Gear 3 (I think) at the time. He didn’t master it yet and it took a bit for him to get the hang of it. I think he was able to do it no problem after he used Gear 3 against Lucci in the end though.

I think the main condition is just to train hard and work on your DF. Linlin was pregnant for like 40 years in her life and relied on her natural strength and haki. Kaido was also a natural destroyer and was too busy forming his army.

The Jailer beasts likely had some harsh training.
Lucci trained hard for 30 years.
Doffy knew about Awakening and likely trained for this.
Kata fought all his life.

Actually how would Linlin having it even make any sense? I understand Kaido, but for her it wouldn't.

Linlin was in Rocks crew for how many years. She likely unlocked all of her main powers including ACoC and DF Awakening there.

I mean, when we've been hearing about the Voice and Breath of all things, Inherited Will and the fact that Vegapunk has been talking about harnessing energy from the planet itself basically this arc, is it really that illogical?

Personally I think it's cool, it still doesn't actually explain how it works, but it's at least it technically fits the motif that everything has a voice/will to be inherited. We already know that Nika essentially is the inherited will of the desire for freedom and liberation in a way.

You’ve got a good point with the VOAT, but come on…DFs being born out of random peoples’ wishes is objectively childish, and before you say anything about the target audience, just because this series is aimed at adolescents doesn’t mean the plot has to be condescending. Kids can handle more complexity in the media they consume than some folks think, you don’t HAVE to explain everything away with “Their dreams all came true”

It's still just a theory with some missing info and there's probably going to be some tech/invention aspect to enhance humanity in addition to some fantastic wish element but even then this is also the series that can bring ships to life and forge wills into objects.

Lucci absolutely can handle G5 Luffy. Speed-wise, they are equal and he has no Snakeman-like attacks in G5.
What he cant handle is facing Luffy's high-end moves head-on. He never could, not even in EL.
If he learned from the mistake, even if Luffy were to use Bairang Gun, it doesnt guarantee him a victory vs Lucci.
As long as Lucci doesnt decide to take it head on, as Kaido did, he is Gucci.
PIS will never make Luffy strong. It just makes his opponents dumb.

All Luffy needs to do to break Lucci's bones is to make his hands just a little bit bigger—he need not even use advCoA or CoC. Even speed-wise, Luffy's legit trolling Lucci in G5; he's not even able to catch up to Luffy:

Tbf, what is being stated this chapter fundamentally is a theory Vegapunk has about its origin. It still doesn't explain how exactly they are formed.

If it's something like Zoro's demon spirit with Asura and drive to surpass others becomes a mythical zoan type DF after he dies, then it entirely falls in like with things like DF reincarnation like what we saw with Smiley and what was explained in DR.

Basically living wills don't have to be DFs, but they can be. Again, that's assuming the Zoro thing applies, because it seems to be the case with what Nika is at least and Luffy inheriting the "being" that Joyboy once was.

If it's taken like that, then personally it's not childish or really that simple. If it's just "dreams are reality" with no explanation later on, then yeah it's pretty simple and childish lol

? She was in Rocks crew up until she was in her early 30s. She was one of the monsters of Rocks crew and was up there with Newgate.

Her being pregnant doesn’t really change much, she’s a natural born monster and nobody could really pierce past her passive Haki defenses.

It's pretty clear in the translated chapter. The DFs are basically Dragon Balls or sth like this.
