You guys are being ridiculous. Luffy just beat the WSC and readers are supposed to be scared when Luffy is facing Kizaru? There will be more tension if Kizaru fights Zoro.

They don't stop being a threat only because Luffy can fight them. The general narrative around the main arc bosses is that only Luffy could take them down. That's how tension is maintained in most arcs. If you have Zoro fight Kizaru, it'll reduce the tension drastically because Zoro is now a threat to Luffy's opponents too. Oda is the king of fake tension. He's not ruining the tension to satisfy our desires.

Because Lucci was getting KO'ed from the weakest of G5 attacks when Luffy's not even using CoC? Mr. Go was almost on the deathbed when Kaido attacked. The entire island shook from the impact of Kaido crushing his skull. Surviving that shit is easily one of the best feats in the series, especially for someone of his level.
