BB should keep himself away from the Sea or sea stones if he wants to beat Shanks. Shanks has no devil fruit weakness and god tier haki. BB is still at major disadvantage against Shanks.

That's what makes it interesting. He wants to gain some sort of upperhand, all these fruits they hunted might serve as a shortcut for his crew to "cheat" their strength. Think of cheat codes for his crew, and surely thry all have haki too, and he's avoiding Shanks for now, he probably expected others to show in Wano to take advantage while they are wounded, instead he picked one of the three routes, and the probably least frwauented one to ambush one of them, he doesn't want an all out war yet against another emperor whwre he would risk losing many of his captains and manpower too, otherwise he would have stolen Boa's devil fruit in that case for example.

By beating Law besides poneglyphs he might steal his fruit either for himself or have one of his allied pirates eat it so they grant Blackbeard eternal life.

No wonder the entire Marine HQ was afraid of challenging the Red Hair Pirates and obeyed his demands.

Kid was distracted by Shanks’ fleet. He was about to attack the fleet when Shanks sucker punched him. Kid would’ve reacted differently if Shanks were man enough to challenge him 1v1, but Shanks transferred the fear he had for Big Meme onto the character who killed her and thus can only attack Kid when Kid is trying to figure out how to deal with the 50 ships Shanks brought out of cowardice. Lol

That just shows that Zoro uses air bars as well and Shanks is the strongest air bars users so Shanks > Mihawk > Zolo

This is the final nail in the coffin for the delusion that Supernovas are Luffy's rivals.

I don't think Luffy is getting out of this completely unscathed. Kid took an L, Law took an L, I feel like Luffy needs to take an L too. Not because his rivals did, but because it just makes sense storywise.

Luffy just beat the WSC. So for there to be tension going forward, you need to establish that there are still threats Luffy is yet to overcome. Imo Teach/Saturn are a perfect opportunity for this.

Obviously tho, Luffy's L won't be nearly as bad as Kid and Law's. I think Luffy will be embarrassed, possibly even defeated, but his crew will escape and he'll keep his poneglyphs.

I admit, BB taking Law’s immortality is hype writing, seinen-esque even. But that will never happen, Oda already gave him a dream separate from Luffy’s. He won’t receive a crushing defeat.
