Burgess was introduced as one of the ten Titan captains. Kuzan is one of them. Burgess not trusting him doesn't change he was already a part of the crew by then.

People thought he was going to be treated like Kid, he's way too important and his dream too significant. He's the Whitebeard of Luffy's generation.

Also, Garp looks incredible here too. So happy to finally see him go wild. Though I know the stuff with Aokiji and Teach probably isn't genuine on Aokiji's end, it definitely seems like it during the flashback. Can't help but be intrigued. If he is genuine, he probably rationalizes it by thinking that Teach isn't any worse than Akainu...
