Nah not happening. Especially since Oda has a new Marine HQ being build during the timeskip and Oda already teased Luffy assaulting the marine HQ. Straw hats will fight on it.

The only thing that giving me pause is Akainu saying “I’ll drive back anything that comes at us” which seems like foreshadowing.

But I also think there’s a lot of evidence the Navy will be involved in a giant battle that will include the RHP and BBP (Aramaki’s dialogue before he leaves Wano implies a future fight between Navy HQ and the RHP, the BB/Akainu rampage juxtaposition paneling at Marineford seems to indicate they share a similar status in terms of story, the introduction of CG as an organization that is now both targeting Marines AND the One Piece etc.)

Since Oda changed the story structure to speed things up I’m pretty confident the Navy is going to join the RHP/BBP before Laughtale fight.

But we’ll see.

or maybe, the Gorosei's families come from special places in the OP world? and it's kept a secret, and most people think they come from one of the "20 founding nations"
Valkyrie's family could come from Elbaf like you mentioned, Gandhi's from Wano, Saturn from some country with very developed technology, etc.

That is possible but we literally have Wano people using the Juro suffix or whatever. I'm not saying he can't be connected to other countries outside Wano including other Japanese countries potentially and where the other remaining migrants who fled Wano went too.
Hell, him and Fujitora might be from the same country for all we know. Thus not Wano.

Wano is not allied under the WG and Ryuuma kept the WG from there and then Kaido did too many centuries later.

BUT as I keep trying to say CASUALLY, the guy is probably associated with Wano too. I emphasise PROBABLY.

The panel states that Mihawk is "the strongest swordsman in the world".

What did Shanks use when he one shotted Kidd, blocked Akainu and clashed with Whitebeard? Mma fighting? CoC laser beams? A gun? A sandal? No, he used his sword.

The panel states he has better sword skills than an emperor and fellow swordsman, and then restates that Mihawk is, indeed the Strongest Swordsman.

Oda highlights sword skills for a reason
While he makes Brannew hype Buggy as Shanks equal rival
Which tells you that Mihawk being WSS doesn't put him above Shanks or else Buggy wouldn't be hyped as Shanks rival and stronger than Mihawk & Crocodile
