“Koby isn’t using Acoc”
- Poetic ch. that symbolizes the passing of the torch. Koby is clearly portrayed as Garp’s successor….should be no doubt that he will end up stronger than prime Garp. Koby can use AdvCoC. He’s not touching pizaroo which is a trait for conquerors’ attacks.
- “Koby only used armament” I didn’t know simple armament let you hit people without touching
- “Koby only used Ryou emission” Everytime we see ryou emission the attacks are way closer in proximity. And the only real example we can use is luffy (fist) because all other examples of ryou creating a significant amount of space between their attacks is with their palms. For example: sentomaru, Rayliegh, hyogoro, All 3 Admirals at the same time. The reason law realized luffy wasn’t touching kaido after his acoc boost was because it’s NOTICEABLE . Law was there when he used red roc yet said nothing. Why? Cause the proximity of acoa isn’t noticeable when using your fist. Even examples of others using ryou from there palms is no where near as comparable to the distance of Koby’s punch to pizaroo. The only example we really have where the distance of ryou being used with comparable distance to Kobys attacks is the Admirals in Marineford. But it was all three of them at the same time. Furthermore, it defeats the whole purpose of having conquerors haki in the first place.
- “There’s no exposition. If oda wanted the reader to understand that Koby was an acoc user he’d have one of the characters (like Grus or helmeppo) say 1. he’s not even touching him or 2. That’s conquerors haki!” Garp’s attack didn’t make contact and neither did Koby’s. This whole Hachinosu mini arc was a passing of the torch. How much clearer could the exposition be?
- “Oda has been very consistent with what’s Aoc and how it drifts off the person’s hand/weapon and creates black lightning upon contact w/ sfx. Koby’s lightning is attached to his hand.” Garp also doesn’t knock out pirate fodder when using galaxy impact… is it not conquerors now?
- “Well that’s because Garp is getting weaker and older” So effects of acoc can fade but u refute the possibility that they can’t grow? Koby is noticeably using a punch with much distance, that isn’t directly touching pizaroo, lightning or sfx won’t change that.
- “Garp is an exception, he’s just very specialized in ryou emission & koby imitates him” Cope. If you seriously think Garp doesn’t have conquerors haki you are in denial. There is no use in explaining such a simple thing to brain dead people.
- “Well kaido said only a handful of the very strongest can use conquerors haki” Characters like zoro and Yamato are not yonko caliber characters automatically. You are born with conquerors haki with a very slim chance. We see that different conquerors have different potency compared to others. You can mature your haki, conquerors is no exception.
- Whether you like it or not, koby is in Oda’s plan for acoc… he’s had the mindset of a conqueror locked away but ever since that meeting with luffy he’s been on his path.
- The reason why people can’t accept this is because Oda didn’t show the readers Koby’s upbringing. Making the turnout unfulfilling. That can’t be helped though because koby isn’t a strawhat. He makes up for this through portrayal and flashbacks. The setup has always been there, him having conquerors was inevitable.
