Koby got an immaculate W after a long time of little hype, and Garp exceeded my expectations with his performance
I'm also firm on the belief that the marines are garbage without Garp and Sengoku going by Kuzan's performance (Fleet Admiral candidate!), and I hope Koby helps uplifts the marines when he eventually becomes an Admiral
Glad that we're returning to Egghead though, can't wait to see the final Yonko claim his W
Koby using ACoC is a the best example of a one piece asspull i can think other than Zoro's enies lobby asura.
After this chapter, i'm sure that one piece will follow suit of the big 3 tradition and have the WORST shonen ending of all time.
What i felt seeing koby asspull was the same i did when i first witnessed the extremely convenient arrow that paralyzed all yhwach powers and obito coming back from hell to give kakashi his sharingan.
Textbook Deus ex machina, expect a lot more of them to come.
Yeah that was AdCoA. Both Advanced CoC & CoA have haki trails (at least the people that use it on their fists do), the aftermath differ though. And Koby's attack doesn't have the AdCoC after effects on Pizzaro, like other users have shown. Plus the kanji sfx shtick isn't the same.
Wouldn't be against him having it though, if it's shown later that he is a user ygm
Two little things I liked from this chapter:
1. The flashback of Koby using the battleship bag. It was nice to have that tie to the last chapter, as well as the parallel of Koby to both Kuzan and Garp.
2. The end of the chapter. As Garp is telling the Marines to leave him on Hachinosu, we see everyone's reactions, and everyone is upset (with some even tearful). This is followed by the shot of Kuzan with ice on his face where tracks of tears would be. I liked that a lot.
Kudos to Koby for his progress.
Salute to the Hero of the Marines for his sacrifice A D. facing death with a smile.
