This really is a fascinating arc. Because of that specifically, I have a very hard time seeing him going down this arc. He really feels (on paper, we'll see when we see images) like a scary threat that isnt actually meant to be fought here, just to showcase that Imu has 5 people under him that all can exude a force to make Admirals and Yonko stop in their tracks from aura alone.

That absolutely feels like endgame material to me

1. We are in the endgame.
2. There are 4 other copies of him, all subordinates at the end of the day. So he isn't irreplacable.
3. When Oda wants to hype someone while wanting to save them for future arcs - he will do so without showing their DFs or their abilities. Like f.ex., Kaidou's introduction or Im's introduction. This screams to me that he's like the starting block that gets the final saga going.

I don't think Saturn is surviving Egghead honestly.

For Crocodile, Mr. 3 was the first subordinate that Luffy met & was defeated in Little Garden.
For Doflamingo, Vergo was the first subordinate that we met & was defeated 1 arc before Doffy.
For Kaidou, Doflamingo was the first (unofficial) subordinate that we met & was defeated 1 saga before Kaidou.
For Im, Saturn seems like the first subordinate being fleshed out & he will be defeated multiple arcs before Im's dealt with.

It seem that Oda plan was always hype elder more than anything .
Even the luffy and Kizaru fight just feel like padding until Saturn made his move .
Luffy and Kizaru down but most talking about the elder .

We are in the final saga but Akainu, Blackbeard, and Shanks still exist. These people frankly feel like they should all exist together separately then in a final battle.

I guess we'll see, because someone needs to get the Mother Flame for Imu in the end to use the weapon again. I am also not convinced Luffy vs. Kizaru is at all over. Itll be postponed for sure, but chances are they'll get another bigger stretch that actually focuses on their fight.

TBH, before the spoilers dropped Admirals > Gorosei looked legit.

Now though, I don't know. I don't want to make an excuse for the Gorosei or similar. Nonetheless, if Saturn's feats lives up to the hype, then I'd have to place them above the Admirals (and likely Emperors as well).


If I had to guess at what's happening, it's that they've never taken to the battlefield in living memory.

But it is weird though. Chinjao said to become the Pirate King you needed to face the Admirals and Emperors. And whenever the Top Tiers of the series were mentioned, it was usually Admirals and Emperors.

The Gorosei don't seem to be known by the broader public as powerful combatants.

Maybe only a few of the higher ups in the Navy are aware?

Roger at least never needed to combat the Gorosei.


At any rate, Gorosei being > Admirals shouldn't affect Admirals vs Emperors agenda. The Gorosei weren't acknowledged as Top Tiers by most characters previously.



For now, I think Admirals > Gorosei is still a valid position to hold, and with a valid argument in its favour.

Borsalino probably outlasted Luffy, (assuming Luffy doesn't immediately resume fighting next chapter), and he probably hasn't revealed his Awakening yet.

You could make a valid argument that Admirals > Emperors too.
