You're making a lot of assumptions in order to reach that conclusion. Mine is as straightforward as it gets, Luffy dealt the final blow, Luffy can reactivate g5 or simply recover, using it just leaves him exhausted, it doesn't knock him out.

Honestly I know I lack stuff to support that idea specificall, but I genuinely cannot Imagine Luffy currently as #1 and I have several reasons to Say that Luffy Is above Kaido.

This was the time that Kaidou spent fighting even before Gear 5 was a thing.
Oda clearly softened up Kaidou for Luffy. Luffy will NEVER need 3 Powerups and 5 (!) Attempts to beat a Single villain again.

But it also doesn’t look very combat oriented at least not on first sight.
