He's not even doing it because he likes the Admirals more or anything, he's just doing it because he likes Kingdom and wants to fit in with the Kingdom fans who are also Admiral fans.

He won't. Akainu is the BB of the WG: a third faction out to leave his own imprint on the world. Once Akainu sees what Imu and the Gorosei are, he will go ape-shit and threaten WG and pirate-alike.
If anything, Luffy and Imu might both have to come together to stop Magma Boy.

If this was way earlier in the arc then yeah Kizaru switching sides made no sense, but after seeing more from Kizaru's character and now with this chapter about the world sinking.
Now if Kizaru does switch sides, it at least makes sense now.
