Blackbeard has no poneglyph reader like Luffy who has Robin nor has anyone who “knows” the history of the void century like Buggy.

Sakazuki heard “a pirate from the past intended to pass down the ancient weapons to the current generation.” Why would Sakazuki then assume the WG had it when he has no reason to assume that.

1)WG will get exposed somehow

2)RA will get blamed as they are causing rebellions (lulusia was on path of rebellion)

The Ds are something the WG is trying to cover up so shining attention on them goes against their agenda as well.

And Vegapunk already told the world that the weapons once belonged to pirates who wanted to pass it down to new pirates. We’ll have to wait and see.
