Oda's habit of gate keeping information made this whole Vegapunk stuff one the most stupid stuff he ever wrote, specially when you take into account what Vegapunk is trying to convey to the world.

I find it funny that people think something Oda build up to for 20 plus years we won't have this much reactions while we getting this info.
It's not like he stalling and not saying anything cause we getting reactions while we get the info .
We have been getting reaction and OP world people discussing things forever and people think Oda will skip out the biggest event in manga for readers and the world is lol .
3 fucking chapters is nothing .
reacting to what? What actual interesting new information did vegashit provide?

What reaction was interesting and insightly?
Please do tell me how Dragon reacts to this. Or how Akainu reacts to this.
Please tell me their thoughts.

Tell me what "..." means in your "reaction" shit.

Not to mention we previously had 4 chapters of Gorosei running around trying to stop the 10 min transmission just for it to amount to.... nothing and transmission to play anyway, meaning that Oda wasted our time and could've played Vegapunk's message from the start

If the point of this speech was to let the whole world know they need to go to war against the world government, then the speech is objectively a failure because Vegapunk didn’t even mention the Government as the cause for any of this.

I don’t think he even mentioned the world government other than to say they were fighting Joyboy. And even then Vegapunk said their might have been merit to the Government’s cause lmfao.
VP needs to directly accuse the government of firing the ancient weapon or this speech is literally pointless

We as the reader know the WG is the enemy, but Oda has to give the rest of the world cause to rise up against them. Again, he failed miserably at this.
Again this is just headcannon. Why does Oda need the fodder to rise up and fight the government? What are they supposed to do about literal nukes? That's not what he's setting up. Like I said, he's setting up a mass displacement of people.

The actual fighting comes down to the powerhouses who you actually want to see fight: Yonkous, Revs and WG.

With Vegapunk’s speech, it’s like Oda just wants everyone to set sail pointlessly. And go where? The Red Line? That spans the whole globe lmfao. How does that lead us into the final war exactly?
There are obvious places everyone is going to go. It'd be extremely risky to go to the Red Line because the CDs won't allow it. Most people are going to go to the two places that have been set up specifically as safe from floods: Water 7 and Wano. Momonosuke opening the borders was always about this. Iceberg making the city float was always about this.

And the tension is whether or not the Gorosei will nuke these places.

I mean I don’t put it past Oda to be so fucking stupid that the end of One Piece is just that the whole world becomes pirates for some reason, but I also tend to believe that Oda understands that the WG is the source of all conflicts in the OP world and they need to be defeated? But this speech did nothing to set the stage for the final war itself.
The speech absolutely sets the stage for the war. The Gorosei now have to get this over with as quickly as they can because everyone knows, and for Luffy and the other important factions, it's a race against time to stop them (or take the power for themselves).

The fodder characters are their own completely seperate story thread that has more to do with what Luffy/Nika means to humanity. They're all the people his life has touched and that he's going to end up saving.

Yeah, I hope so too.
As for now, Imu comes off as an absolute loser who couldn't get some woman and that's why he's started a world war and ruled for 800 years, nuking islands for whatever reasons.
One thing I don't get is why did Imu wait this long to go after Vivi, I get because of plot but Imu could have targeted Vivi a lot earlier.

Then there is Vivi's mother who in her younger days also looked like Vivi and Lili, why didn't Imu not go after her as well?

For some reason Imu waited until after the timeskip to be like "Now I want Vivi."

Will be this some stuff similar to DB Gt where goku teleports people away lol

This is the problem.... Story telling wise he should tell but won't tell because oda is making vegapunk give useless spoilers to us readers not the people(they are not even made relevant in the story)
Why should he tell? How would he even know about Imu? As far as we know, the poneglyphs haven't mentioned him yet. Never mind that he's alive and still controlling the government lmao. Like I said, you just want it now.

I’m saying if Oda’s goal is to set up a world war against the WG, which is the way it seems the story has been heading so far, then this speech was a miserable failure of that idea. The World Government was never declared the explicit enemy, Vegapunk even said they might be correct to sink the world.

We as the reader know the WG is the enemy, but Oda has to give the rest of the world cause to rise up against them. Again, he failed miserably at this.

And that’s the issue. Vegapunk decided to give a speech to the whole world when he himself didn’t even know what the fuck is going on. “Hey everyone, the world is going to sink. I don’t know what the fuck is going on. Okay bye.”

Simply miserable lol. Again look at the Shabondy speech. We have clear stakes (Ace’s life), a clear timeframe, and two clear lines drawn in the mud (Whitebeard vs the Navy).

With Vegapunk’s speech, it’s like Oda just wants everyone to set sail pointlessly. And go where? The Red Line? That spans the whole globe lmfao. How does that lead us into the final war exactly?

This speech did a lot to set stage for the final war.
The world know they on time table and AW getting use and out there and can sink the world more .
BB hearing this info and about to know where 2 AW are , some more people could join the revs or leave the marines.
This can make Imu move up his time table for the great cleansing since he already plan to fuck the world .
