I kind of figured it out but it's so fucking confusing. Basically, I think his skin can be superheated into being Seastone, which is when the flame is on outside his body. When the flame is off outside, he's using the flame to increase his metabolism/blood flow (kind of like Gear 2) and increase his speed and power, but it makes him more vulnerable, because he's no longer hardening his skin.

So, the Seraphim are a nightmare because they're top tier Pacifista + Lunarian Genes + Warlord Genes. Even MORIA caused Kaido problems once upon a time. The Seraphim are going to keep getting stronger, too, they're still kids.

Reminder that Ichiji Nini Yonji and Reiju alone defeated 10,000 members of the BMP fleet, I don’t really care about the number.

Kaido was worried about Big Mom coming because when he beats Big Mom, he knows another yonko will come to kill him or the marines. That’s what the balance between the yonko is built on.

And crackers biscuit soldiers are not commander tier on their own.

But power wise, it’s clear the Beast Pirates were well superior to the BMP.

BMP fleets ranging in upper tens of thousands massively outnumbers BP's measly 20,000.

BMP have Cracker who makes dozens of YC3-tier level fighters at the clap of his hand.

BMP has hax ranging from several skywalkers covering the skies, Giants who can send flying slashes across the ocean, Cracker who is a one-man army himself, best intelligence network so they know all of BP's weaknesses.

And most of all, Kaido freaked out at BMP and a few of her children, not including Katakuri in there.

It's clear BMP fleet >> BP fleet, Kaido is the strongest fighter but BM is still close to him in power, in an all-out war the BMP would win by sheer numbers alone.
