That’s just DF hax that was only used once and hasn’t been brought up again. Its possible that’s a power needs special conditions to meet however, as we saw once it’s activated it can’t reactivate to include others like with Kuma and once he’s moved the hax deactivates so maybe he can’t move or use his other abilities at all while it’s active which is why he couldn’t dodge, defend, or attack Bonney and needed the Marines to do it.
