The fact this chapter is most commonly rated 1* is hilarious to me - just goes to show nobody here actually cares about story and just want to wank and powerscale specific characters. This chapter brought closure to the majority of open-ended questions remaining in the Egghead Island arc - it was perfect for its purposes. Min. 4*.

Omg, can we move past Vegapunk already, he massively overstayed his welcome :chirstsad:

Especially since he seems more stupid by the minute, instead of axing York then and there, they decide to erase their own memories for ???? reasons
He seems to be done with it, if he was left alive he would just be additional baggage for the straw hats, he just wanted to peace out and leave one big middle finger to the Government.

No, it was stupid cause it did little to nothing to actually push the story.

- Did not elaborate on York’s actual motives or POV, which is the only important thing in this betrayal
- Made a stupid move to let York go and instead make an elaborate plan to delete memories of three other Vegapunks
- Did nothing for Vegapunk’s character, who just spent 500 chapters saying nothing - turns out he died to tell people the world is sinking and drag it out for no reason

The only thing which happened in the chapter that is somewhat important is using the energy for destroying the island. Didn’t need a whole chapter for this.

She is the embodiment of Greed, that's her motivation, she's not satisfied with just being a Vegapunk lackey.

Well seems like Vegapunk is just tired of hiding so he was ready to accept his death and hit the Government with the video he pre-recorded, he would just be baggage for the straw hats if he survived, seems he did damage because even the Government's lapdogs like Akainu are seriously doubting them after learning about their plans to sink the world.

So surface level explanation, she’s *greed*. Amazing

This is the only One Piece fan forum in the world that has basically zero fans of One Piece.
No, disagree, I want better writing cause Oda CAN do better. Vegapunk has just been a character that has been balancing between apparently being the smartest character in the world and making stupid decisions all around. He’s not well written.

My problem with the arc was that it was dragging near the end of it, I don't see much problems with Vegapunk who is just sick of doing the things he does, he couldn't care less about living while having to let go of his lab and get hunted down by the government.

Mihawk gotta get his ass up until next chapter.

A couple days timeskip, bounties/reactions and outside events would be nice after this devastatingly disappointing chapter.

The dragging is directly related to Vegapunk though. The self-absorbed five hour speech :whitepress:

Was a good arc overall. I would rate it a 7 out of 10 with everything included.

Wrap up chapter, next one we going into some new territory. I’m ready for it
Yeah would rate it around the same, it had a pretty good start and middle part, but kinda dragged near the end, hoping the Shanks and Teach confrontation is just around the corner.
