There are lots of boring characters, but no boring straw hats. And the fact that Jinbe has done straight up nothing since joining is not a good look for him for someone who as you said “was a former warlord”

People are annoyed by Jinbes inaction constantly and disillusioned by his importance so he’s easy to rag on since hes done nothing but provide commentary for like 2 arcs now.

Far more people in the wider fanbase rag on Usopp for doing nothing than Jinbei for doing nothing

Sanji fans treating Jinbei the same way Zoro fans treat Sanji

Oda foreshadowed Zoro becoming Imu’s underling when Zoro claimed to be the “King of Hell” back in Wano.

Looks like Zoro’s next power up is to get a contract with Imu. This should put him on par with Sanji, since Sanji is getting AdvCoC.

It's a nice change of pace imo

He doesn't really react to their jokes at all, or if he does they are mild.

Oda could take a look at Law and just ctrl +v with jinbe. He has better reactions as a straight man and even sometimes plays along with a serious face

One's son is WSS and the another's is Colon.

I know Rayan hates him with a passion, I just find him easy to make fun of cause he’s all talk. Dude was so much better as an ally in Marineford and Impel Down than he’s been as a straw hat.

Tbh usopps the most universally hated character across the fan bases tbh.

There’s a pattern and it’s always the same
Jinbe is by far one my fav characters
