Even AI seems to agree with Oda, but I'm not convinced :kriwhat:

* * *

🦌 a) Blackbeard as Rocks’ Son
✅ Plot & Theme Impact:
  • Inherited Will Amplified: This would tie Blackbeard more directly to the Will of D. and the pre-Roger age of pirate rebellion. It elevates Teach from opportunistic villain to the culmination of Rocks’ legacy.
  • Mirroring Luffy: Luffy would be the heir to Roger’s will (freedom through empathy), while Blackbeard inherits Rocks’ will (freedom through domination).
  • Three-Headed Monster: If Teach carries Rocks’ blood, and has Whitebeard’s power, and seeks the One Piece, he embodies the ultimate synthesis of the old age’s most terrifying legacies.
  • Celestial Dragon Angle: Rocks wanted to destroy the Celestial Dragons. Blackbeard might also, but for self-serving reasons. He becomes a dark messiah, aligning the revolution of Rocks with the personal greed of Teach.
✅ Thematic Echoes:
  • Nature vs. Nurture: Teach chooses the crueler path, not because he must, but because it’s convenient to his ambition.
  • Legacy & Corruption: Rocks’ ideological rebellion is perverted into self-serving chaos.

🤡 b) Buggy as Rocks’ Son
✅ Plot & Theme Impact:
  • Cosmic Irony: The heir of the most dangerous man in history is a clown who became an emperor by accident. This subverts expectations in pure Oda fashion.
  • Dramatic Potential: If Buggy discovers his lineage late, it becomes a meta-commentary on impostor syndrome, inherited legacy, and misunderstood greatness.
  • Late Bloom: Buggy would need to "awaken" his ambition in the Final Saga, maybe becoming a surprise key player.
✅ Thematic Echoes:
  • Freedom as Foolishness: Buggy represents a chaotic neutral version of freedom, living not to rule but to survive—and somehow getting elevated to godhood by propaganda.
  • Legacy Is What You Make It: Buggy might reject Rocks’ will, making a statement that lineage doesn’t determine fate—aligning with One Piece’s deeper moral compass.

🐊 c) Crocodile as Rocks’ Son
✅ Plot & Theme Impact:
  • Kingdom vs. World: Crocodile’s obsession with kingdoms (Alabasta, now Cross Guild) aligns well with Rocks’ world-dominating ambition. It’d make Crocodile’s long game more ideologically driven.
  • Alabasta Reframed: His plot to steal Alabasta would echo Rocks’ interest in strategic locations of power.
  • Secret Legacy: Crocodile is already shrouded in mystery (Ivankov’s secret, gender theories, etc.). This adds another layer: is he trying to escape Rocks’ legacy or fulfill it?
✅ Thematic Echoes:
  • Ambition Refined: Where Rocks was raw fire, Crocodile is cold calculation—but the same goal: seize power.
  • Shadow Kings: Crocodile could represent the "shadow" king, contrasting Luffy as the genuine one. He’d be a midpoint between Rocks and Teach: not overtly evil, but still corrupted by control.

🥇 Most Storytelling Potential: Blackbeard
Why?
  • Narrative Structure: Blackbeard is already the most developed antagonist for the Final Saga. Making him Rocks’ son naturally escalates the stakes.
  • Philosophical Opposition: Luffy and Teach already oppose each other ideologically. Rocks as a father figure for Teach brings cosmic symmetry to their final clash: Roger’s heir vs. Rocks’.
  • Plot Device Synergy: Teach’s mysterious body, dual fruit usage, and terrifying rise all fit better if he’s Rocks’ biological son—a fated anomaly.
  • Thematic Cohesion: Teach becomes the monster born of history—the child of the old age’s rage, the inheritor of its worst legacy, in contrast to Luffy’s inheritance of joy and camaraderie.

🔚 Final Ranking (Story Potential):
  1. Blackbeard — most resonant thematically and structurally
  2. Crocodile — solid backstory expansion with political flavor
  3. Buggy — fun twist with meta potential, but limited long-term stakes unless recontextualized deeply

Truly fascinating that despite being Xebec's son,

> Teach ended up admiring Whitebeard more than anyone else
> Decided to nickname himself as the dark version of Whitebeard
> Copied his division commander system
> Aimed and took over his fruit

So while Xebec was his father by blood, Whitebeard was his aspiration, but on the dark side
I think Teach is like Buggy with Shanks in this scenario: Teach honestly believed Newgate would avenge Rocks and become King of the Pirates. Like Buggy with Shanks, once Teach realized Newgate had no intent of becoming Pirate King, Teach began to make his own schemes.

If Teach finds the Yami no Mi, but Thatch? Teach would still be on the Whitebeard Pirates.

IMO Teach wanted Newgate to be King of the Pirates, but once Whitebeard made it clear he wasn't interested... which is crazy, because it's almost like the Yami Fruit intentionally spawned in on one of Teach's friends to encourage Teach to become evil. We know Fruits have a Will of their own.

My question here is: did Whitebeard knock Teach was Rocks' son?

Buggy is Xebec
After god valley Imu cursed him to look like a fool and named him buggy because “Xebec broke the taboo of an insect foolishly believing he could be a god”
Technically, Bonney's Awakening could reduce Rocks back down to a baby.

The Roger Pirates decided to raise Baby Rocks, but sealed all the evil in him in a big red ball...

Buggy's Nose is the Seal of the Demon King

Talent is something you make bloom.
Teach's crew still can awaken their fruits as another PU.
His old crewmembers some were already notorious (Lafitte), Shiryu was a pretty big deal being compared to Magellan (who nobody could fight against, that includes Croco, Jimbo and Ivankov), and lvl 6 prisoners hyped by their notoriety as major criminals (dont think they are on the same lvl as the nameless scrubs there).
Their narrative premise EASILY suggests that any of them are major threats. The issue is that they get fucked by characters like freaking GARP, SENGOKU and AOKIJI, then suddenly, due to agenda bias, the retards starting spouting that they are all "bums". Don't cry when Teach and maybe some of them get CoC when they fight the SHs.

Can't wait for all the shameless bandwagon jumping when they are the main antagonists of an arc and are more flashed out (especially Shiryu, since we all know which fanbase is the most shameless as far as trashing then hyping a character depending on matchups).

- Buggy's only one year younger than Teach

- They both share same blood type F

- They both were born in August

- Both were pirates-turned-Warlords then became emperors

It's over brother @God Buggy

:risicheck::risicheck:
Imagine after all this time, Buggy's alter ego starts taking over and he's the one beating Shanks outta the One Piece race. Nobody would expect that.

Honestly, it'd be a so much better twist than the "BB kills Shanks" or "Evil Shanks takes over the world" theories.

Reborn

Throughout Heaven & Earth,I alone am d Honored One
He needs it. Cause man is his crew disappointing right now.
Most SHs are so I am not that worried about BBPs.

Infact, a completely awakened crew is a possibility with BBPs which in itself raise the bar of mid and lower trio of BBPs significantly.

It's top guns who needs more upscaling - but we hardly seen them anyway
