People are already wondering how Rocks crew somehow lost in God Valley and if Rocks is really THAT stupidly strong even as a young man to kill an Admiral and to keep this beast of a crew in check. How the hell did they lose?

That's why one piece is not a logical story, you ether have to accept random unexplainable stuff, or constantly come up with your own explanation because the author is too busy counting his millions to pay attention to his writing quality.

Im just saying, what achieves plot movement more? Shanks vs Blackbeard being a wholly separate event or Luffy being able to interact with both Characters before, during and/or after their fight?

I am absolutely not confident in Oda justifying a huge battle without offscreening much of it, especially we arent meant to see how both characters fight yet. That changes if they ARE involved in a major arc with the main cast. Thats how its always worked.

Personally I dont see how you'd want the former anyway lol, it doesnt actually service any story outside of isolating 2 characters already tied to Luffy for different reasons

Well in the world too there are some strong fighters and smart scientists that don't go to competitions or things like that and just train and study by themselves or with their friends but not making themselves publically known, makes sense there are people in one piece like that too
