Oda does a lot more telling than showing for flashbacks, which leads to impressive sounding feats but unimpressive panels. It was the same with the mountain cut last chapter, Oda can't be bothered to draw something visually impressive. All the hype atm comes from the offpanel Admiral fight and a statement about the gates of justice.
