respect because they are at the end of their career, oda makes them look better than they actually are because they need to have their moment before they die/get captured, like garp and whitebeard, its a temporary retirement buff. Since they arent dying here oda doesnt need to bend the plot for them, thats why they dont look impressive now. What we are seeing in god valley is their actual level and its nothing special

Fruit use is basically aesthetic at this point in the manga lmfao. Whitebeard didn’t need his fruit to match Roger, so logically with his fruit he should be exponentially stronger than Roger but alas, Whitebeard is instead designated as one of Rival Man’s Seven Rivals

Anyway point is we saw at the battleship bag that fruitless Aokiji reached prime Garp level and fruitless Sakazuki should at minimum be as strong as fruitless Aokiji.
