Wg told Harald to kill rocks to get membership in wg.
We know Harald somehow got close to wg and was even considered an ally by hk.
Maybe, Rocks in his last moments, regains some sanity, and asks his friend Harald to end his life.
Similar to what Harald probably asked of Loki.
That would conclude their friendship in a bittersweet way.

Without Rocks going berserk in some way, Roger and garp teaming up against him does not make any sense.
He's there to save his wife and kid. The CDs are there to commit genocide. So Garp and Roger should not have "protected" The CDs against Rocks, unless Rocks went crazy.
Two options for him to go crazy are, he sees his wife die and goes insane. Or he sees his wife die, is mentally broken, imu tries to domi reverse him. But fails to gain control of him, and he goes berserk.
I am leaning towards the second option because domi reversed Rocks would actually require garp and roger teaming up. That makes sense with what we know of the gv incident.
