Why do the titles have to describe the same things?

Kaido's title isn't about a combat style.
Neither is Whitebeard's title.

When you put 2 and 2 together...
...you arrive at the conclusion that Mihawk's title isn't about a combat style either.

I hope this helps you to realize how stupid this is.
Because all serve the same purpose.
Gradually outperforming one another.
The story begins with WS among all swordsmen.

Then it kicks a higher gear and introduces WS among all (hu)mans.
Then it takes another step higher and introduces WS among all the creatures.
This didnt jump from general WS title to gender based title back to another general WS title.

Quite interesting that you dont realize how stupid WSM being gender based title would be.
But this is where I stop, Sky-chin.

So base Prime Harald is not worthy to wield Ragnir

But after the Curse Level 2 Amp he reckons he can now.

Loki ends up wielding it instead, so Loki is worthy to wield Ragnir.

But didn't Oda say in "ONE PIECE RAINBOW" "The Jet-Black Longsword that no one but Mihawk can wield" ?

And didn't Oda always have the Final Saga in mind, including Elbaph, for many years?

So he knew Loki was around in Elbaph, yet still decided to state no one but Mihawk can wield Yoru.

So even after Loki, who is > Lvl 2 Curse Mark Harald, being worthy to wield ragnir. According to Oda's statement, he still can't wield Yoru where Mihawk can

Interesting.

With this chapter I think we can pretty much cross off all the Skoll and Surtr fruit theories

It has to be an animal of some kind

So pretty much just Nidhogg and Fenrir left imo
It definitely has to be Fenrir. It's the most well known creature from nordic myths and the one most associated with Ragnarok, which LOda clearly wants to emulate but by using Nika as the harbinger. Plus that silhouette looks kinda werewolfish.

Without being a giant more giant than the others and without needing the power of an akuma
:milaugh:

Any reason for still thinking it could be Fenrir? The silhouette is clearly Nidhogg imo and the mythology matches Loki almost perfectly.
Because Fenrir is said to bring about the Ragnarok which is clearly tied to what Loki said about wanting to destroy the world

Also ties into what Xebec said about Harald having that power instead of himself but choosing not to wield it

Could be Nidhogg due to the tie with Ratatoskr + the neck/face in the silhouette look kinda weird for a wolf

Serving the same purpose =/= describing the same thing. I clearly disproved that bizarre assertion of yours with that earlier reductio ad absurdum.

Why is "World's Strongest Man" describing superiority over all men any more absurd than "World's Strongest Swordsman" describing superiority over all sword users? Your logic is just arbitrary and circular.

So Ragnir's been protecting the fruit for centuries... which means objects that eat devil fruits don't age?

Anyway, this is another retcon or another lapse in memory from Oda since it was said that it was Vegapunk (a dude less than 70) who discovered the means to implant DFs into objects, another factoid which Oda never bothered to explain while on Egghead.
The fact that Vegapunk knows how to do It doesn't mean centuries ago they didn't though.

Anyway, Ragnir's zoan Is likely a mythical so aging Is not that straighforward.

Vegapunk only rediscovered centuries old knowledge. For all we know the lab in The tree made of the ancient giant had this information

But Sengoku has one, and look how much he aged in just two years. And Yamato's had hers since she was a kid. A more likely explanation is that zoan-animated objects don't age as long as their object forms remain in good condition, or that they won't age if they remain in inanimate forms for prolonged periods.

Why? "OMG, my hammer broke!" is obviously a premium quality translation.
I like to do character voices on my own time, just a hobby I've had since watching Hanna Barbera Cartoons as a kid.

When I got to the page and read Loki going, "OMG, my hammer broke!" I burst out laughing, bless whoever did that. Made my day, well, that and Ragnir. Awesome chapter, but so sad. Best shitty fan translation since Kaguya's "The Daddy in the East" for me.

And now, whenever I think of Shirogane's freaking father from Kaguya, and the "Daddy in the East" mistranslation at the end of this horrible fan scanlation of this chapter, I think of fucking Monkey D. Dragon and I just start cackling.

Thank you everyone who makes horrible English fan translations, they give me life.

Fantastic chapter, but would've liked to see a more fleshed out interaction between Ragnir and Loki, seems like he accepted him too abruptly.

Loki's life has been miserable since birth, and he's still rocking with it like a monster. Kinda sucks we didn't get the full reveal of his df, but I understand it needs to be saved for his present day fight.

And Harald is a fucking G, one of the best characters in the series. This flashback is probably up there with Kuma's for me.
