"Two shotted" then came back healthy to solo the prime version of Whitebeard Pirates along with Crocodile. While the young version of themselves were ready to stalemate Roger Pirates??
Meanwhile Whitebeard after that, only faced a group who later ran away instantly just after seeing Akainu alone, and still ended up dying
While Akainu had to restrict himself while not doing awakening so he didn't destroy Marineford.

Marco clashed twice with him head on and was fine
After the clash the WBC scattered and he just got Curiel when he defeated Curiel nobody either Marco nor Vista was besides him
WB was at death doors when they attacked him why do you think he waited to attack when he was weakend ?? the same Blackbeard nearly lost against WB in a one o one but was saved by his crew and easily clashed with Senghok and Garp afterwards

Yes roger said "i don't want my best men to get hurt" but it was pretty much debunked the second later when rayleigh said"it's just because you(roger) want to fight him(oden) by yourself.
