so this took place around 24 years ago.. and Oden was killed 20 years ago. Could Oden took Wano back from Kaido before Kaido seek revenge 4 years later? unless, Kaido left Wano fully on his pawn Orochi on those years and stationed his men there. while him (and possibly the calamities) were sailing out of Wano and only came back to check on his factories 4 years later.

That deathbed Yonko had to cheap shot at cranium from behind. Akainu on panel stalemate a Gura Gura punch from WB unlike "Muh YC1 Puffy vs Kaido" who'd have get overpowered any day
The plot armor was also very good, if Akainu chose the same fate for WB when he had heart attack and guard down and attacked his head, it'd have been no head no war real quick. Just saying

Didn't Moriah's vivre card state he fought with Kaido on Wano? A lot of things start coming together when you consider that. Kaido set up shop in Wano 1 year before Shusui and Ryuma were stolen, Moriah arrives sometime between Kaido's arrival and his raiding of Ryuma's grave, the pirate battle and subsequent theft of Wano's national treasure, made it all too easy for Orochi to pin it all on Oden. This is under the idea that only Moriah and his crew were the pirate invaders while the Beast Pirates were benefactors of Wano. And why Kaido wiped out all of Moriah's crew, not leaving any survivors besides Moriah. He wanted no one to spill the beans. And this is where the ban on the mention of pirates came to be. It'd only lead to the people of Wano growing more suspicious of Kaido and his crew if Pirate activity conveniently started rising when he entered their borders.

That is most like the most possibly way. Look at Hiyori, she was older in the flashback when she give Momo a dropkick. I think Oden take wano away from Orochi again and 4 years later after Orochi did something(poisoned?) Kaido and his crew invade Wano.
It took one whole year even without Oden to take control of Wano. I doubt Kaido would easily take control over Wano without Orochi help. This new timeline just confirmed it, he waiting for whole four years until he shows up with even show that Kaido show some respect against the Wano millitary force(Can understand Akainu here).
Wano isn't like countries as Dressrosa,Alabasta and co where the villians easily take control on the land, after all Wano has himself a Top Tier(Oden) and some strong High Tiers with also large number of soldiers. Even for a Yonkou it would be risky to attack a land as Wano without any plan, a all out war would cost in both side so much lifes. Their is a reason why Kaido working up together with Orochi and wait 4 years until he could move.
I don't like the idea of Orochi poisoned Oden, but with each new chapter I think this was the way how Oden was easily take out later...

Neko explains they both have been gone for a while (Oden mentioned they weren't here already a year ago) : Ashura became the head of all the yakuza / thief of Kuri (basically to make sure of what they do), and Denjiro is traveling throughout entire Wano to borrow and repay some money
