The prelude battle will begin soon with the alliance finding that they don't have what is needed to take on two yonkos yet.

I'm like 80% sure Onigashima's invasion will end with the alliance getting brutally wrecked before Chapter 1000. This is how Act 3 will end, on some form of tragedy. Then Chapter 1000 happens and it shows a character or event that will change the face of the arc and spring to life on HOW Luffy and crew will win. For example, this could be when Nekomamushi arrives with a ton of Former Whitebeard/Roger pirates. Then begins act 4, which will be our major war section of the arc. I think that is where we will see tons of ship battles and everyone fighting their way back to mainland Wano for the finale back at the capital (for some unspecified reason).

I think we'll see a lot of that but from everybody AT FIRST. I have faith that this is what Oda has been building to for 300 chapters though.
