And you are comparing that Ace moment death to what moment in present time basically? what moment recently got you emotional?Yasui? Oden's? LOL
Present time? None, why would Oda repeat that again in the present time? Luffy's been there and done that. If somebody from Luffy's close friends dies again, it's just gonna show Luffy's not able to protect them.. when the entire point of timeskip training is so he won't have to experience shit like that again, where's helpless and can't protect his people.

Let's see what I found to be more emotional:

Story #1:
- a kid who was introduced as Luffy's brother, with no background (this is important)
- a kid who then purposely went after Blackbeard and got captured then got thrown in jail for his own actions
- a kid who gave absolutely no fucks about the old man that raised him and trained him since he was a kid and sat right next to him while crying his eyes out.. but rather dickrode the guy who's crew he had been for like 2 years..
- a guy who continously felt disgraced at his dead father, without even bothering to understand his dead father.
- a guy who had people around him that acknowledged him for who he was, but still wanted some more special acknowledgement, which he apparently got from being accepted by pirates.

Story #2:

- A Kid who did good stuff, but always took the blame when something bad happened
- A kid who was then cast out of his family because his family felt ashamed and etc.
- A Kid then who worked his ass off to unify various regions within his country to start up his own city with thugs
- A Kid who made poor become on par with the rich and turned thugs into samurais
- The man who then would go out to the sea for his ambition, leaving his country and his father who he was grateful for making him into a better man
- The man who after discovering shit about his ancestors cameback to his country to fix things
- The man who took the burden of a country he had no debt to or obligation to for 5 years in order to look for an alternative that didn't involve the country being a massive warzone. In which his image was tarnished in front of his people.
- The man who then went to take the enemy out, but got betrayed by one of his own underlings that he had made into a samurai
- The man who was then suffered a whole boiling while carrying his samurai on top to make sure they stayed safe
- The man who then lost everything he had built up, but regained his image while dying in front of his people..
- The man who had the entire country yelling his slogan for the 2nd most epic death in One Piece. (1st being Whitebeard)

The ultimate story of a man who gave everything for his nation, but died a tragic , yet prideful death.

Story #3:

- A Kid raised from the ghettos of FMI
- Goes to adventure and such
- Gets kidnapped by slavers and is forced into slavery under the Celestial Dragons
- Goes through harsh slavery treatment, then comes back after freeing other slaves, to raise his fellow brothers from the ghettos and starts a pirate crew
- The man then tries to throw his hate against humans to escort a little human girl to her hometown.
- In order to make that human girl feel better he even vows that he wouldn't kill, despite his brothers not agreeing with it fully.
- He takes the girl home and is betrayed by the very humans who's daughter he helped save.
- In the end died a tragic dark death that went into a highly dark theme of that even sometimes when you try to understand the enemy, there are times when you have simply seen too much that your hate for the enemy can't be overcome no matter how hard you tried. A tragic story that covered discrimination.

Story #4:

- Yasu introduced as cute loving friendly person
- Helping the elders and etc
- Helping even the strawhats, without a single need for recognization
- Kept being in the shadows, throwing away his pride and raising his daughter as a poor bum
- This man is then ruthlessly publicly executed by Orochi, while he tries to keep the plan for his comrades a secret

Yup I felt more emotion with Yasu's death than Ace's. However, Ace's death SITUATION was more sadder because of Luffy, not because Ace died. Ace's death becomes sadder when you see the Ace flashback, but up until MF he had no background, maybe you felt something for him i guess.. but I didn't. It was only after that flashback that I felt connected with Ace's character. But it's the same with Yasu, after reading the Oden flashback his story becomes more sadder.

But I mean you found story #1 more sadder than the other 3 then that's your personal preference. But for me the others are more emotional, because I can understand those characters and found their situation to be more sympathetic, where as some of the things with Ace were just "ehhh really dude?" Doesn't mean Oda's writing was bad because I didn't feel connected with Ace.. nah he simply wasn't a character i would be drawn to.. that's about it.

Sabo to Ace is what Hody is to Arlong LMAO
Hody was an Arlong fanboy who was way in over his head and was a one dimensional villain. Sabo might be Ace's replacement, but he's still his own character. Shitty comparison.
I'm relaxed... Sabo still sucks
:kayneshrug:
nothing changes that
These are fictional characters, what could Sabo have done to hurt you so much my guy? :gokulaugh:

Happy to see jump in powerlevels..
Law has been training. .
Still waiting for Zoro's commanders feats though.
Also what was jack doing at the back gate?
Accepting bullshit powerjump like this is whats wrong with this community, as if training is enough to make you this strong when its been established that real fights are the only way to get big power jumps. Glad its fake tho.

Actually your comparison lacks the good highlights of Ace...

It's like for example a comparison between X and Z
X: he is so dignified.. so great... blah blah blah... stating all what you like about this character.

Z: He's so scum.. very bad... bla bla blah.. stating all what you hate about the character

So you're comparing the "Good side of a character to the bad side of the other character"
Great comparison to tell me you had more emotional attachment to them

Dude... Ace until this moment... everytime I see his speech with Luffy at his last moments.. I still have drops of tears coming out without controlling it... and I'm not the cry teary guy... I watch people slaughtered and laugh in sadistic way about them.. thus the name "sadistic senpai"... Ace and Robin moment are the TWO MOST highly emotionally not only me.. but MOST PEOPLE got during One Piece.. the epitome of emotions came with those two people with Ace dying and Robin's I want to live moment... LOL

Oden's moment? Yasui Moment? HAVE NO COMPARISON.. and the idea of comparing them is laughable to me...
I will admit that Fisher Tiger though was 100 times more emotional than fucking Oden's or Yasui... so maybe that's a good one.. but honestly the idea of comparing them to Ace.. is mindboggling...
And again... don't compare good sides of character you are attached to them.. to the bad side of the character you are not attached to them

Compare the good with the good... the bad with the bad...
