I gotta say in all my years of following the One Piece manga, this is probably the lowest point. Not just writing, but the COVID situation as well.

We're still getting silhouettes of random fodder every two weeks, and dragging the shit out of what should be the setup for the most epic battle of 23 years of One Piece. I get that Oda has a formula he follows too, but jesus fuck man...this is not the time. The alliance has landed on Onigashima. What the fuck are we doing?

Wow didn't expect you to write this but I feel the same. I was talking to my friend and told him basically the same thing you wrote and he replied "OMGF you just can't enjoy a good manga and if you don't want to read weekly drop it then" Where I read this series for 10 years and he got caught up with it last year.
People really don't understand that sometimes series like this is painful to read especially when we focus on irrelevant characters.
Luffy and Kidd will beat Kaido ( Most raped theory ) and yet they can't one-shot a f'ing fodder traitor. It's not the most disappointing moment of the series but I having my trauma back from reading Dressrosa week to week. Oda overextends this arc too much.

I'm honestly confused about what you are complaining about. Oda has to balance nearly 60+ named characters to set up a major war and you think he's going slow? Do you understand how much he's actually accomplished in the last 5 chapters or do you guys forget literally every week?

Pacing honestly seems fine, you guys just are unhappy with the breaks. He literally got Luffy from Wano to Kaido's mansion in 6 chapters. It took him over 20 to do the same from Water 7 to Enies Lobby
