Ohhh. I mean, it is pretty obvious by now that the admirals are not equal to the yonko. Marineford took the three of them for damage control, and even then the won just barely.
How do Admiral fans justify this implication from Oda regarding Kaido?
I don't take these words seriously because of the nature of the answer, but that in of itself isn't a strong counter argument.
Actually to be fair, we haven't seen the film strength of shanks, kaido, Blackbeard. Lin Lin as well in a sense. Kaido is currently at the top tho, and that can't change
It's not desperate at all. One shows a direct comparison on who he views as the benchmark for strength between Akainu and Kaido.
The other is just an example of a point he is trying to make about making a MC too strong. It's similar to that groin question where he uses WB, Shanks and Mihawk as examples.
Moreover given how the Yonko are given nigh equal portrayal (Split the heavens, Kaido and BM fighting equally for days, Shanks sending Kaido back to the NW, them being in a stalemate etc) we can safely say they are>Akainu too. After all he is just an admiral. Admirals are canonically Marco level per Databook Blue Deep. Shanks didn't ask Marco to join as co-captain.
I'm not very active in this community. I don't know everybody's stance on everything, I've discussed that SBS multiple times lol, I was just wondering what people on here have to say about that.
This is a lie.... the Databook said "Marco fought equally against the admirals". Fighting equally against somebody =/= being on the same level. Vista fought equally against Mihawk, is he equal to him?

You'd be surprised at how many people couldn't comprehend Mihawk's portrayal at Marineford lol. He couldn't give a tosser about Vista, he was completely interested in Luffy lmao. There is no way he was trying in that war.

we want to use the databook as well
shanks is <= Mihawk .
asked about main character strength to become pk
uses akainu and not any pirate including the yonko as a base for strength stating this guy would end the story in a year.
akainu is just an admiral so by the logic you used here , you believe oda can sub in marco in that statement he made on akainu and it would make sense . so much trash from yonko stans
its tiring
prev gen admirals sengoku , garp are not any better than current gen and are stated alongside the yonko as who luffy has to surpass . Not marco tier characters and yc1's .
