Yup it's friggin ridiculous. The least Oda coulda done was to mention that said door can't be taken down by conventional attacks to at least preserve her hype 
but it's whatever at this point lolz I'm not even gonna try rationalize as much with OP anymore as I don't think Oda puts as much thought or effort into being consistent with power levels and stuff he just nerfs characters whenever he feels like to move the plot in the direction he wants...lolz. That said, Smoothie is a YC tho so you'd think she'd get her hype moment on Wano at some point. Lilin also got clowned by Oda on WCI but got redeemed against Queen and Kaidou so fingers crossed ^^. With this chapter tho, at the very least, I hope Smoothie and the BM pirates put up at least some sorta resistance to Marco that helps spare their blushes.
Honestly Oda shouldn't have introduced the BM pirates into Wano if he had no idea how to handle them coz that is honestly how it looks to me. At this point it just feels like he needed to keep them away from Onigashima for a bit longer so he decided to have them fall of the waterfall again ^^"...not only is that disappointing as piss especially with him having them do fck all for god knows how many weeks since they got to wano there's just an utter lack of creativity there. I'd stop here tho before the Oda popo come for my ass...lolz

Luffy had actually fought a commander before Katakuri, he didn’t jump straight to it. It’s entirely different than Zoro, so yes, not being strong enough is a legitimate point and does apply. Also, there’s far too many characters for anyone to get a 1v1. The main character isn’t even getting one.
He can because, you know, the story isn’t over after Wano.
Because this arc is the end of the New World.
He can be pushed to extreme diff and still fight with someone else. It’s happened before.
It’s rather hilarious to me though that people think that Zoro must get a solo fight during an arc in which his Captain won’t even be getting one.
If he's gonna surpass mihawk, he should fight some strong opponents like king

This wano arc lacks element of surprise and worst part were the flashback i honestly skipped entirely . I decided not to use too many logic because author decided to trash those long back !
