Alright chapter, nothing special.

Heavy dose of the idiot ball being given to the enemies right now with them not really caring about Kanjuro's news cause they think it's just the Worst Gen. What do they think happened, the others just decided to pack up and leave? Idiots.

That's the problem with BM. Yes, she's still extremely strong and whatever, but I just can't imagine Oda having another top tier (not saying that she isn't a top tier) used in a benny hill sketch with Ussop and Chopper. The rest of them can still inspire a feeling of dread and awe. BM doesn't. As things stand I'd be more worried for Ussop and Chopper getting the shit beaten out of them if they ran into a Calamity than BM. Dragon's slightly starting to go the same way since it seems Sabo's the one actually doing everything in the RA, btw. He's seemed more armchair administrator than badass leader lately.

The most interesting thing is probably the mention that Onigashima used to have a different name. The big Oars skull and weapon, and Kaido's decision to live there, gets more and more interesting. The Marco note was clever enough, I suppose.

Now, Jinbei is in my top five characters, absolutely love the guy, but I'm not going to lie, a part of me kinda wishes he's had Sasaki's design. It's awesome, it's my favourite Fishman design by far. The Denjiro showing his back moment was pretty cool as well. Also, back to Yamato being a brat? Is Kaido's feeling on Momo based in part for his feelings about Yamato?

Luffy and Ulti has the potential to be hilarious (Zoro get lost again?).

Because he's the only other top tier that, like BM, I think Oda is failing to live up to the hype with. In Big Mom's case it's because she's been doing too much and is ineffective because of it. In Dragon's case he's doing too little.

he let his bois get captured and heard about it from the news while he is chilling on Memeoria island in the middle of the Reverie leaving the heavy lifting to his subordinates. Oda just makes him into a mysterious character

So why didn't Prometheus present during King attack? Where the hell was he?

Thinking back Oda wanted Big Mom to be amnesia and had her meeting Chopper which led to Udon which led to her clashing with Kaido which led to the alliance between Big Mom and Beast Pirates.

I think Oda could have handled better for Big Mom meeting with Kaido instead of amnesia plot.

When looking back at this scene from the Zou arc, it's a bit sad that Momo who cared about Kanjuro and was happy to see him safe was then later on kidnapped and beaten by the same man.

With scenes like these, it's getting harder and harder to redeem Kanjuro and bring him back to the light. He shows absolutely no remorse here for a child who committed no crime and he took care of for years. You know you've gone too far when Kaido and Black Maria who work with indiscriminate killers like Jack are showing some reaction to the state of Momo's body.

It's pretty reasonable to believe there will be at least one Kurozumi clan member who is good and alive at the end of Wano. They were massacred over the actions of one man, yet all the named Kurozumi we see are one villain after another. It gives the impression there is nothing but filth in that family and Wano's vigilante justice was right to purge them for their name.

Should Kanjuro remain consistently evil, he at best turns a new leaf before dying as a martyr. He's not making it out of this. The 9th shadow to replace Kanjuro will have to be someone else. The outlook is decent for Izo since the rest of the Whitebeard Pirates aren't here to take away his spotlight. The good Kurozumi might just come out of left field like O-Tama.

Compared to literally every other top tier except for Ryokugyu. And at least we know he fought the RA commanders with Fujitora.

All Dragon has done is ominously speak into the horizon, read newspapers about Luffy and Sabo actually doing things and stop pre-skip Smoker eight hundred chapters ago. His big "the world is waiting now for our answer" speech about the Reverie didn't pan out- as far as we know he didn't even show up, and nobody has even mentioned him doing anything at it. He simply ran away from the Blackbeard Pirates and let his base get destroyed.

Now, I think when Dragon finally does something he will be impressive, but up until now? Very dissappointing.

Denjiro the GOAT.. I saw an interesting thread of him killing Sasaki Off screen, so will check it out soon.
Momo is just having it bad. Kid got some big shoe to fill in which is not an easy task. Even Kaido seems heavily dissapointed on him as he should be.
Marco plot turns out to be just some random gag by Oda.
Pay Pay once again getting owned by his sister..:yasu: Luffy about to get some tag team action against them. I hope they don't become a hype material for Luffy's Advanced COA.
Lastly, Kaido is one lucky dude. Or..

Black Maria has joined the Denjiro/Kyoshiro alliance. She seems little too protective towards Momo and we already know Flying Six were directly under him and Queen.

The only way for Oda to hype calamities and make them look worthy when Sanji and Zoro defeat them is by hyping them now.

King vs Who'sWho who might find Yamato.
Queen vs Drake who he wants to eliminate.

Queen vs Drake might hype Drake too since Apoo and Kidd got their hype. Drake also fought Sanji so it could give hint how Sanji vs Queen would go.

If Who'sWho is Zoro's warm up fight and Who'sWho finds Yamato then his fight against King also might give hint how Zoro vs King would go.

In the grand scheme of things, not much, but Mihawk's in the great position that every time we see a swordsman do something we can think "and Mihawk's even better."

And there's the cutting the iceberg, which was hell of an impressive. It's not much, but it's better than the square root of nothing that Dragon has shown

Great moments in this chapter, I loved Marco's note to Luffy, whatever the issue he will be there for Ace's brother, even if he only knows him as the guy with the pineapple head.
Also was a big moment of Bravery by Momo that he was more concerned about Kinemon than himself. Luffy is going to full on bloodlusted more than we have ever seen if he sees a crucified Momo.

If they managed to restore Kuma, then if Dragon carries out his plan, to avoid detection he needed to be sent back to Kamabakka; the commanders should’ve followed suit but got caught by the admirals out of unlucky circumstance
