Yes. The OP still has a lot of advantages, mostly tied to the plot(stories, characters, not samurai and Wano, they are terrible). The riddles and mysteries of the world still hold the bar high. But I don't see OP as a fighting manga for a long time. That's probably why I can read current events in manga so easily.

Zoro couldn't even cut Enel in ALabasta even tho he supposedly had Ryou back then. Even if his current Ryou were Oden level, Luffy could still just block it :/

What stops Luffy from avoiding all of either Zoro or Sanji's attacks with Future Sight + G2 and just one shot deading them with Ryou to the skull????/?

Ryou is barrier haki. That’s how a swordsman use ryou when he does not have a sword in hand. And he didn’t supposedly have it he literally did have it. You have to activate haki it’s not on your every sword swing . He did not use it against enel. Zoro has better coa then luffy . Get over it stop crying

the scabbards are determined
they are strong enough not top tiers but decent fighters
have ryou
they will hurt or be somewhat impactful against kaido and anyone in the series.
this is the first time we are seeing anyone go seriously at a yonko in their prime so I know folks are disappointed but dont be
kaido will win this anyways .
and again
oda builds up villains in such a way that their take down is almost disappointing or too convenient. its always been his formula. think op fans are just old enough now to want things to be more logical while we didnt care about such things as kids. every top tier has had moments where they didnt look like gods is the conclusion folks should take from this.

Zoro is not significant behind luffy . They are both worst generation. Zoro has better coa on the same level as oden and above the scabbards who are doing more damage to kaido meanwhile luffy couldn’t do shit to kaido.
