That's literally what happened. Why they would need to fight? There no way they would took an Admiral down in some seconds, no one can do that. They only needed to block earlier so Luffy can escape, and they accomplished their goal. Marco alone is enough to stop him for those seconds where Luffy got away.

And after we saw Curiel being defeated, there was only a commander in that area, the guy who can set on fire his sword.
No other commanders were there.

And no, I'm neither a Sanji or Zoro fan. I'm biased to the story. There is a clear difference. When Oda has a character say something, it is effectively Oda saying it himself.

When a character makes a clear established connection to another character and vaguely hints on it, it is in fact Oda's way of saying "ill show you more later, stay tuned".

Sure, there is no surefire proof Sanji is fighting Queen, but I'm calling out the bullshit you are spewing by denying Queen's comments because you REAAAAALLY just want Sanji to fight King.



"King is a flyer" now has basically zero merit in the current argument. Queen actually has a personal relationship with a Strawhat family member, which will be elaborated on, clearly by Oda's words, when Queen encounters said Strawhat
