i don't know where oda confirms it but i'll take your word for it...thats basically two characters zoro has killed in all of one piece..who were not even important characters.
i fail to see how zoro only killing two unimportant characters makes him a shoe-in to kill kaido when he still barely kills anone in the series like luffy

If you watch Marineford you see stuff like Mihawk failing to penetrate Vista or even kill Luffy, similar scenario for Kizaru.

Oda is used to introduce plot armor for certain characters and there's nothing we can do to deal with it.

It would look really bad if Apoo got trashed that easily anyone at that level should be able to block few hits.

I understand your perspective. My simple answer to that is, Zoro is here to finish what Oden started. I know it might seem blasphemous to even say that, but we are in Wano and the central narrative must progress. We’re not so far away from the one piece or Raftel. The third red Road Poneglyph has just been discovered. And it’s a bare necessity to have Zoro at least be Yonko Commander 1 level by now

Realistically speaking, if Base Zoro is around as powerful as King right now, he should have dealt more damage.

But the issue is that the plot would have been trampled by doing so and Oda never wants that. He needs to preserve a good show, which can't be too obvious.

Big Mom has set precedence for being a good guy, with Tama, with Elbaf, with another Caramel and the other kids. In Dressrosa Don Chinjao was an enemy until Luffy punched him to submission. I think Luffy punches Big Mom to a permanent OLin state. In this vein either by Elbaf or Wano, two emperors will have fallen like he has stated prior

and I believe BBs overconfidence will be the end of him. I don’t know anything about him so I cannot make any educated guesses. Also this is a shounen. Deaths are already rare. Kaido is a creature, and there is set precedence for creatures to die without having any narrative inconsistencies. Also largely due to Kaido being captured but not killed all the time

Nope lol, that's not good enough for someone on admiral level when their opponent is literally a mid tier or barely an high tier.

If Kizaru can't one shot someone on pre Lucci level then power levels would not make sense.
