Zoro has no connection to oden and is not even technically a samurai. there has been no foreshadowing to zoro killing kaido especially since enma wasn't the only sword to cut kaido...now even scabbards are doing it.

Kizaru failing to kill a fodder version of Luffy is even more disgraceful than Zoro dealing 0 damage to Apoo.
Also Mihawk should have dealt way more damage to Vista, cause he had no reason to waste his time. This means that Vista himself was under plot armor.
In other words, plot armor applies when it is convenient to the author, regardless of the character in question.
He does it as a technique to render his manga more interesting, or to better say, more good looking, even though sacrificing stuff like power levels.

Not necessarily, depends on whether Vegapunk had access to the fruit and if he could study the power directly from it, or even if by studying the genes of its user he was able to isolate those changed by the ability and reproduce them in an artificial fruit. We need more information to discuss this, anyways.
