Kaido has a dragon fruit. The fish fish mythical dragon fruit.
The name fish fish exists to reference koi in the mythology. It doesn't exist to tell us that kaido has a koi transformation.

As a comparison, In the myth, kitsune come tomorrow a fox transforming after 100 years same as the koi. But katakana Devon does not have a fox transformation. She has a kits unexpected fruit.
Somewhere exists a fox fruit separate from the mythical kits unexpected fruit even tough the myth says one turns into the other.

- When Ace went to Onigashima, Kaidou was not there because he was traveling.
- Ace went to Onigashima to rescue some kidnapped children.

Ok, I didn't know what to expect from chapter 1000. Probably something like all the emperors coming to Wano with maybe the marines and the revos but actually starting to reveal some big info on the D., One piece etc. is way better since this is among the biggest question marks since early OP.
At this point I also hope Yamato had a son or something with Ace if they hanged a lot.
