The problem is that people don't read
"For the anime original fight scenes in One Piece 1066"
"Law is weak, Kidd is strong" is only for that specific non canon scene with Kidd at full power and Law only using his sword, this is only non canon for Lnule because we can't forget that anything he doesn't like is fanservice or non canon.
Still funny seeing him wanking non canon shit and then go to another thread cry about the anime changing things. :milaugh:
Law still carried and did most of the damage.

God damn they really went all out for this one

So glad to see the anime take the liberty to depict fully original dynamic exchanges like we's seen here. This fight was severly lacking in actual choreography in the manga and felt very stiff because of it. That whole teleportation sequence beautifully captures how you would expect Law to fight given the powers he has and seeing Kid actually move made everything that much more engaging.

And of course the key moments were also truly breathtaking. Misery actually looked imposing and menacing here. I would have prefered a less "physical" feel (both in visual and audio) to her attacks but with the way her intro and movement during that charge were animated I really can't complain. Puncture Wille and Damned Punk both looked really good and Kid's flashback sequence leading up to his attack legit finally made me feel something for the guy through presentation and atmosphere alone.

All in all a very special episode outside of the dragged Momo scene but I guess that's to be expected when adapting only 1 chapter per ep is the aim.... In any case it's been nice to read through the stuff Henry's been sharing on Twitter. Happy to see passionate people like him working on the anime.

This dude has passion for this manga, love to see it.

You could tell with that scene alone, he made sure to play to each character's strength.
Except the fact that he misinterpreted it.

Anime is just entertainment at this point. I don't expect it to stay all that true to the source material.

"Law: Smart & fast but his attacks aren`t so strong."

:yodawhat:

:yodawhat:

"Kid: Strong & can hit hard, but his rage makes it sloppy"

:yodawhat:

You're confusing stuff

Law df allows him to hurt anyone
He has hax and dc...his AP and physical strength would always be inferior to Kid

Fun fact : Law couldn't even have BM drop unconscious (out cold) for seconds/minutes like Kid did even when he used his finisher
BM always recovered faster from Law's attacks.

That's why Kid will always be the closer not Law
Kid/Law--> stronger than Law in AP/physical strength
Law is stronger than them in DC & lethality overall (Luffy's bajran has better DC tho)

Maybe in two piece

In OP Law's attack are the strongest and the most dangerous

and BigMom said that

so... :hapnoel:

Notice how he didn’t talk about Puncture Wille animation on any of his feed because it would immediately debunk his agenda. And next episode we’re gonna get scenes of BM calling out Kidd’s final trump card as light as tickling. :broocry:

Tbf, Misery never hit anyone in the manga

Misery in fact did hit someone. To demonstrate it's burning power being amped by electricity's superheating. Hitting a fodder to give you a general idea that it'll burn a body to crisp similar to King's magma level heat.

The anime also showed Misery destroying fodders in the crossfire, while censoring what happened to their bodies. As for Kidd's case, it seems the directional choice the animators went with was they had Misery holding off its burning power (very common sentient feat for homies properties) to brutally beat Kidd down and put him in his place instead.

But reality of it is, Misery has the same burning properties as King's magma-flames or Kaido's Flaming Bagua.

No way! One Piece episode that actually looked like One Piece!
What is bro waffling about?

How does this episode, which does loads of things that aren't often seen in One Piece outside of this specific animator and director, look like more like One Piece than the other stuff?

It definitively does several things visually that aren't One Piece like at all.
