The ACoC discussion is so stupid people are even color scaling. If a character is called a ACoC user most of their lightning attacks are probably ACoC. Color has nothing to do with it. Oda doesnt color this Shueisha does and i doubt Oda tells them color BMs lightning in chapter 1017 page 3 to red or something like that.

We should enjoy the colored volumes, they look great, but obviously not consistent enough for some people to look with magnifying glass

Nah, Kaido specifically aiming at Law. No real logic to him using a speed specific technique for a completely immobilized character. It’s to counter Law shambles. Which had at that point saved characters from Kaido 3 different times(scabbards/Luffy/Zoro).
The ACoC mostly for Law too, Kaido didn’t use it even clashing with Zoro best. No real logic to him him focusing the full brunt of his ACoC on Zoro now.

It says the lightning is black while showing an image of it being purple
As I said, vivre card said the haki is black but the scene shows it as purple. That means official color of haki is black and Oda draws different character's haki different colors just for visual effect and to make the scene more colorful.
