General & Others One piece isn’t enjoyable without the admirals being relevant

The Shichibukai and the World Goverment are what gave life to the manga.
One would wonder ,what would have become of the manga if Oda didn't got sidetracked with the Shichibukai.

Or actually what he wrote about them ,he would've wrote for the Emperors.
Not an uncommon thing. Sometimes side-projects become more successful than the main ones.

Honestly, since the WG is the true big baddy and final boss, all admirals should be interesting and powerfull!I hope Oda reveals Green Bull here in Wano.

It's just that Oda tends to utilize the Admirals better than any other group besides the Shichibukai.

I do agree that some of the best parts of One Piece are those that involve the Admirals, even if in a small way: Ennies Lobby, Sabaody, Marineford, Dressrosa, Reverie.

Admirals are only one of many victims of post timeskip not having the big-picture writing, unable of utilizing key factor characters like the Admirals, Dragon, Mihawk, Shanks and Teach for the entire duration of the post timeskip. As awful Oda's writing can get, none of his writing blunders harmed the world building as much as shafting major characters did. I didn't ask for 430+ chapters worth 10+ irl years wait for Teach, Shanks, most Admirals, Dragon or Mihawk to sit on their asses barely contributing to the story just to get a very limited endgame panel time.

Levely was the closest solution to this catastrophe.

Akainu's character definitely helped One Piece to be one of the best manga ever. Thats coming from someone who hates Akainu wank. He was a menace. The sense of danger was almost palpable every time Akainu got a panel during the MF war. Akainu killed two major characters in the story when character death is rare in One Piece.

That said, the other admirals got the advantage due to the main characters being weaker. Aokiji and Kizaru fought a fodder version of the strawhats and supernovas. When Fuji or Greenbull are matched against weaker opponents than the current strawhats/supernovas, they got injured. In Dressrosa, we already got an idea of how admirals will be treated in the current timeline of story. Oda is also adamant about not killing even fodders these days. Kaido cant even kill Kinemon, Big Mom cant even kill King Baum or Moscato. Thats why I doubt the admirals will improve the story now.
