This current situation really takes me back to when the Dragonball live action movie trailer was released. Everyone was very excited (myself included) and just ignored that the trailer was garbage. Even after the movie was released some tried to fool themselves saying it wasn't bad, if you ask them about it now everyone says it's bad.
I feel this will be the same.
To me the trailer looks like a typical anime to live action production. Bad special effect, even bad acting and everyone looks like they are cosplaying. I really can't understand that anyone could think this could be decent after seeing the trailer and deep down I think they know they are just fooling themselves.

I remember everyone in my country hated the dragon ball live action trailer

Now, I’m not usually one to complain about a character‘s race getting changed.

But all the Monkey D family have been cast and every one of them is a different ethnicity. There’s no consistency.

Now, even if Oda has given them a big secret like Dragon being married into the family and it’s actually Luffy’s mother who is Garp’s daughter, this guy just does not look like he could be the Luffy actor’s dad in any way.

They cast an guy of Indian decent to play dragon.

So we have Garp: English
Dragon: Indian
Luffy: Mexican

Thought they would atleast cast a latin American actor for dragon he doesn't seem like Luffy's dad at all

Shitflix gonna shitflix. I mean the only reason the main crew was cast correctly was because Oda specifically asked them to, I have no doubts about that.

I’ve looked the guy up and he barely has any experience.

I won’t be surprised if he’s really just a body double. Dragon appears in his big cloak in Loguetown. Guessing we don’t actually see his face, and Dragon proper wouldn’t get cast until later in the series. (If it ever gets to, say, EL).
