I will give it a try but I don't expect a good thing. I have a bad experience with anime live-action in general. The only way this could look top tier is if it's made by Marvel level animators and stuff etc.

Ohh??? Don't say he really got the role as assumed. That would be amazing. If the actors really have some vibe for the character (like with Henry Cavill and Witcher) I believe they'll do fine. The green photoshopped hair is awful tho, that needs some fixing.

I don't get why these guys haven't announced casting or even a casting call

Like literally no news matters more than the casting.

They seriously can't start making dates to start filming before the cast list is announced
Casting has been going since June 1 so far, and if those "news" about them filming is true, it means that they probably finished most of it by now. I'm not sure how the process works, but seems like it? So I hope we get news about the official cast soon

Something is telling me that they are going to make them diverse as fu:k so expect black Luffy.
They said earlier already that they want a diverse cast because often it didn't receive such. If we take Death Note again as example, they basically americanized the whole story and made Light a whiny little bitch and he wasn't even asian. He wasn't even Light Yagami anymore, he was Light Turner. We don't want that shit. All we want is some diversity but keeping it close to original.

They try to follow what Oda provided in SBS from the questions "where would the Strawhats come from if they are from the real world?" and Oda said Luffy would be from Brazil for example. Doesn't mean that he has to be black. And Lewis Tan (who a lot of people hope that he plays Zoro) isn't japanese either but british-chinese. I do think they will try to follow Odas ideas and pick an international and diverse cast but also try to make it look natural.

I get it and I'm all for it, but Brazil is multiracial country with very diverse population, some of them are white, some of them are Asians (mostly Japanese), some of them are black, some of them are the native people, and some of them are racially mixt. So, which type of Brazil are they going to pick? If they go by the look then Luffy should be played by white guy but SJWs will come and say that white guy doesn't represent Brazil's population and if they pick some other race then the one piece fans will be mad that the MC doesn't look like Luffy, so what are they going to do? Well, they're going to go with the middle ground by picking a racially mixt guy for Luffy's role just like they did with Zoro.
It hasn't been confirmed that Lewis Tan is going to play Zoro but if it's him indeed, then I wouldn't be surprised cuz Netflix has the same problem with Zoro just like with Luffy. If they go by the look then Zoro looks like a white guy and Oda loves to represent Japanese as big muscular guys (look at Oden and other Samurais in Wano) and Zoro's facial features doesn't look like asian ether. Zoro is Japanese/asian and Sanji is France/white but they have the exact same facial features.

Finding an asian guy that is muscular and looks like white guy and on top that knows English is impossible, so if they pick a regular asian actor then he wouldn't look like Zoro whatsoever but if they pick a white guy then people would be mad since a white guy will play an asian character. Nextelfix chose a racially mixt guy "Lewis Tan" who looks more white than asian, in that case they have a white looking guy who has asian background and everyone happy. I'm pretty sure that they are going to do the same with Luffy to make everyone happy but I don't think that they will be able to find the right guy for Luffy.

Well for Luffy I wouldn't mind if he was white or anything but I guess best would be just a tanned guy if you know what I mean. Someone who has those... ah I don't know the term so sort of summer vibes? Dark eyes, tanned skin, dark hair, but overall childish face that doesn't look that... european or "white".

I definitely want to say that they won't be able to follow those "countries" by Odas SBS answer to a 100%, as seen with Lewis Tan, in case they pick him. I think he is suited just because of what you said. He is mixed, has asian and european origins, he looks suited for the role. He ain't japanese but he's got that east-asian touch and that's good! To force diversity upon the cast just because Oda said so in his SBS they won't go around the world and say "Hell yea we gonna do it exactly that way" because it ain't possible. To get close to what Oda had in mind is the optimal way. So if there's gonna be a black Usopp, okay! If there's gonna be an asian looking Zoro, really cool! In the end, the overall vibe of the person has to fit. And all those who then scream "BUT THEY AREN'T FROM THE COUNTRY ODA CHOSE" then those should shut up because this ain't make-a-wish land and if they all look fine as hell together as a crew then it will be all that matters.

I don't know about that cuz for me he looks pretty white (by anime standards of course), the best choice for Luffy would be Brenton Thwaites

He looks like Luffy, he has childish looking face etc. But Netflix is woke as fu:k so I don't expect a good casting from them.

Oof, I mean. I think his face is a bit too... I don't know, rough still. I don't see much of a child face. But it depends on the role probably.

Steve Maeda is asking people about who should they cast for the StrawHats. In this case, for Nami.

In the comments, appears a cosplayer whose name is Victoria Clay. A lot of people want her as Nami.

But I don't know if she's an actress, or if she knows how to act. That's the most important thing, more than the appearence, in my opinion.

What do you think about this?

Her face is too bland and old... You need someone who looks naturally lively and bubbly but still serious

Madelaine Petsch would be perfect :

She can play cold girls as seen in Riverdale
