Just watched episode 1. They completely changed the story! Zoro's cast is awesome, Luffy's is great as well. Couldnt they find a more attractive girl for Nami? Coby sucks here too. Buggy's cast is promising. 6/10 so far.

You could have improved this way more. It wouldn't be perfect, but it could be a long running series easily.

Any good series first and foremost needs an awesome MC. Luffy actor can't carry this show.

From the opinions of those with no anime/manga experience I don't think there's actual cringe.

It's just us who know how the character are due our previous knowledge.
