News ONE PIECE MAGAZINE VOL.11

Not even Law’s novel? Was this actually stated in the magazine or by Oda somewhere?
the assumption is that no novel is canon until proven otherwise

Ace Novel was called canon by many source when it was out ...

no other novel got that approval ever since or before ...

I mean ... Novels are not horse shit ... and it should not have "TOO WRONG" info in them anyway ... but we can't consider their info as important ... I mean ... read Zoro novel if you like ... it's kinda a joke

I dont think the word “Canon” have ever been used to describe the Ace novel either.

As far as i can tell, the Ace novel is considered Canon and a big deal because it was the first one.

i think the types of statements used for Ace’s novel are “Learn the origin of Luffy’s brother” and stuff like that where its like they are marketing it as the actuak origins and stuff. And then Oda himself provided character designs for Ace’s crew.

Thats all well and good but has it actually been stated otherwise for anyone else? By this i mean if the People in charge of One piece outside of Oda have marketed the Ace novel as Ace’s origin, then isnt it automatically assumed Law’s novel just works the same way.

If the Ace novel is marketed as Ace’s origin for years then i gets republished in the One piece magazine and then it even gets a manga, then the next magazine says “This is the Law novel”, shouldnt we just assume the Law novel works the same way as the Ace novel?
Just by the mere fact that they both come out in the magazine?

Thats why i think there must be an explocit statement that these other novels arent canon. We dont need a statement to say “this novel is canon” since the Ace novel existing sort of implies everything is canon so we instead need a specific statement saying “This IS NOT CANON” instead

Ace novel is consider to be as canon .... meaning there is no bullshit information in the novel

but details of it might not be 100% real

Novels are not canon in general but Ace Novel seems far too legit to be ignored to be honest

Its not canon, because its impossible to fit in the canon manga. There are things Brook says during the fight with Duval that make it not work (it being his first fight ever with the crew). Not to mention Marineford was absolutely destroyed by Shiki like what, 1 week at most before the Paramount War?

Chapter 0 is canon, the film is not.
Nah B. They both are tied together. Either it's both canon and these are minor issues that happened because of practicality reasons (we don't want Brook to not be here), or neither are canon. You can't separate then and say it's canon till page 19 and then page 20 is non canon. That's not a natural reading of the story

You didn't counter my argument at all. Instead resorting to insults as is the usual in this forum.

You: If Oda did it, it's canon.

Oda: I did strong world

You: It's ridiculous to even consider that canon because of a throwaway line by Brook two years before the movie was even made.

I'm happy to say that the manga, from vol 1 - vol 98 is canon and nothing outside it is. This means that we can't count Chapter 0m because Chapter 0 is Strong World. It's literally in the title. You need to explain to me what method of reading you used to conclude that page 1-19 of Chapter 0 are canon, but the title and ending are non-canon.

Except Zoro and Ace novel
The rest aren't reasonable to use.

No Novel which is canon will debunk what sbs and Manga says

Ace novel is the only one that Oda invested himself really to oversee and approve
Like I said Manga > Anime > Novel >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Whatever internet randos say they "consider" or they don't consider

Kiwipom

Ghost Princess
I love these drawings of Perona, Mihawk and Zoro. The three of them are a very fun trio to watch

More pictures from Novel Ace manga 2nd chapter, thanks again to redon from Pirate-king.es.

And these just looks insane. I’ll admit that I’m not a big fan of Boichi’s art sometimes but that Shanks panel is beautiful. Same with the Ace and Whitebeard one, I love the flames!
