Oden is hyped way more than Marco.

Oden is YC1+ not low top tier.
He is slightly better than current Marco
AP Lethality Haki : Oden >Katakuri>Marco (his best kick did same damage as Apoo , zero damage to someone who isn't a durable kinh while made kaido eyes go white lol)
We can say Kata g3 and gattlings can pummel kaido too and it will damage admirals since lufu g3 is below Kata g3 by far.

Defense : Marco~>Kata with FS cant be touched easily while marco need regen and he has limit.
Also Kata is logia like.. even if he doesn't use FS.

Leader : Marco cant lead high tiers... crew disbanded
Kata is shown to lead and will be relevant in the future as future BMp pirates.
Oden was leading wank army, it is only after his death that the retainers were scattered.

And Oda better make Moria being actually crushed and the whole "Moria rivaled him" is just from a normal irrelevant character who didn't know the full facts.
Cause they made it seem like Moria held his own against Kaido, it is just his crew was weak in comparison to kaido's crew, and they got killed. At least that's how the "tone" of the dialog seemed for me

Cause otherwise, it will feel weird LOL no inconsistency

I bet you wont mention your own Ls since they only mentioned Shanks top 3 to be strongest and most balanced.

I guess Oden leaving and Ace dying , took WB chance of having strongest crew and commanders

certainly shanks and mihawk dont follow the same path where luffy's comparison far surpass zoro's .

I don’t think it’s off given that the entire story has been that way, and if Shanks and Mihawk, the personification of Luffy’s and Zoro’s dream, don’t follow that way, the story would invert on itself. But we can wait and see.
