Thing is that about Mihawk Black Blade was written ton of books, and it was known in history as Saijo Wo Zamonu Yoru, now what actually made you to believe that Mihawk was that person who made this Sword Black? I believe Mihawk was pissing himself when those books was already written. And we know that Haki didn't dissapear after swordman's death, from Enma and Oden example, which lead to logical conclusions.

Ok but you didn't answered about portrayal and stuff about characters not being able to change with Luffy ...but it can change with Zoro(always figthting swordmas 1vs1).

So made up you mind pal if you think will Oda will change Zoro formula after 20 years of 1vs1 against swordmans( in the samurai country even )then accept Zoro getting a similar portrayal to Luffy is doable.
