I reckon that the flashback is long but it's very important for the Egghead incident and it contains so much lore and so many connections that I don't really mind it. I also love Kuma a lot and seeing his life is sad but also respectable at the same time.

The flashback builds the foundation where Nika will have to defeat Saturn to liberate Bonney and Kuma, this will cause the infamous Egghead incident that will shock the entire world tomorrow.

Lore? Man... All the stuff from the flashback we already knew about it, it's shit... Even Kuma is the "lonely guy" without any connections outside Dragon's anus...

So 98% of the chapter is Kuma backstory, last 1-2 pages something hype (drums of liberation activating?). Kuma flashback ending and next chapter is hype. Thank god that's better then nothing.

I didn't think Oda thought 1100 as some milestone chapter...it is just fans had expected (not everyone though)...
