Im just telling you that in this mangas history, thats how it works. Most people expected there to be a clash or two because of it, thats what all the mass hysteria was when all what happened was Sanji got kicked.
Like it happened with Doflamingo and Vergo too, and he at least was able to attack them before getting hurt.

- Title of the chapter is "Old Nakama"
- Chapter starts where we last left, Vegapunk is telling the world everything that happened to Egghead, the ancient robot and how he hid it from the government, how because of their actions the advancements will go back a century, the warrior of liberation, and how he believes the government put up a huge farce to the world
- Luffy is fighting Saturn and Kizaru in the background, Sanji is warding off Vice Admirals from Vegapunk, Zoro vs Lucci in a small panel
- Scene cuts to Dragon, he says this is going to stir a lot of revolts around the world they shouldn't let Vegapunk's sacrifice go in vain, he tells Sabo and Ivankov to go at Marineford HQ
- Scene switches back to Egghead, Luffy is getting beat up he says the two of them together are too much to handle on his own he needs wings to back him up
- Dorry and Broggy arrive, they sent Saturn and Kizaru flying across Egghead and speak to Luffy in the final page
