I know Kid gets downplayed alot, but People should realize what kind of threat the CoC-boosted attack of Kid was. Shanks imediately stepped on, felt the need to Jump in before it can Happen. Obviously even Shanks recognized this attack as huge threat.

There's more context to that, though.

If the attack was directed only to Shanks, or even to Shanks' ship and somehow even Beckman was going to suffer from the attack, it'd be impressive.

However, we saw that the attack was aimed at the fleet of ships. A fleet we were introduced to that very same chapter as "exceptionally weak captains that wouldn't have lasted a day in the New World if not for Shanks' protection". Of course Kid was going to obliterate those guys. He was still immediately destroyed by a Shanks who rushed him and Killer from beyond the horizon before Kid could shoot, so how good is the attack if that's all he can manage with it?

Also what CoC boost? He still can't infuse CoC into his attacks.

Kid is always targetting Shanks for some reason. And his whole crew seems to be on line with that goal. So there must be a reason and Connection.
But at the same time it seems like Shanks has absolutely 0 Personal Business with Kid. He knows about Kid, but not even mentioned him when he was near Wano.

So it’s either one sided reason, or a mistaking. The second one seems quite reasonable when we keep in mind about the Holy Knights, specially garling, were Part of the „Native Hunting Competitions“. About Kids childhood we know a „criminal group“ attacked his Island when he was a Child and killed his childhood friend Victoria.
For me it seems like this criminal group was indeed the Holy Knights, Garling and his golden son Shamrock.
So Kid saw Shamrock killing/taking Victoria and later just saw Shanks in the newspapers, recognized the same man. Never knowing there are Twins.
